Gabriela Schunn, soprano
Biography:
Gabriela Schunn is an early and choral music soprano from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Gabriela got her professional start as the first member youth member of the St. Andrew's Episcopal Church choir at the age of ten and was promoted to professional stipend-receiving choral scholar by age twelve. From there, she became soprano soloist before the age of eighteen, working her way through repertoire ranging from Couperin and Pergolesi to Pärt and Mendelssohn, and was promoted to Director of Choral Scholars as an undergraduate, responsible for hiring, coaching, and conducting fellow young singers. After a brief hiatus while living in the UK for several years, she has returned to performing and is currently a choral scholar at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral choir in downtown Pittsburgh.
